About Christina M. Kposowa, Founder & LEAD STRATEGIST
Christina Kposowa is a public relations strategist with nearly a decade of experience in corporate communications and issues management. In 2014, she launched CKPR Consulting with a vision to simplify how companies communicate with stakeholders.
Most recently, Christina was director of communications at a large non-profit organization in the Washington, DC metropolitan area that reached more than 20,000 stakeholders weekly. Christina provided strategic direction to the organization's Executive Leadership Team and ensured alignment of all communications activities with the group's overall mission and goals. She also managed the organization's brand, internal and external communications and the production of all creative assets.
Before founding CKPR, Christina was associate director at APCO Worldwide, a global public affairs agency with headquarters in Washington, DC. In this role, she directly managed multi-million dollar communications campaigns for Fortune 100 companies and non-profit organizations with a focus on the chemicals, energy and transportation sectors. Christina was also responsible for the rapid development and deployment of crisis response strategies for some of the world's largest corporations. She specializes in navigating complex communications challenges and aligning public relations objectives with overarching business strategies.
A self-proclaimed wordsmith and journalist by training, Christina has been published in various print and lifestyle media. She earned her degree in journalism from The University of Maryland, College Park with a citation in the College Park Scholars' Media, Self & Society Program, and currently resides in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with her husband and son.
